The free score
When you score your CV without signing in, the CV (the file or the pasted text) and the job ad are sent to our server. We read them in memory to work out the score. We do not store them.
Your account
When you ask for a sign-in code, we keep your email address, even if you never enter the code. After you sign in, your CV (the file and the text we read from it), the job ad and your score are saved to your account, so you can come back to them. They are stored in a database and file store run by our provider. Signing in sets cookies that keep you signed in; they are needed for the account to work.
AI company
When the AI features are switched on, text is sent to Anthropic, an AI company in the US, to do the work. Free score: the job ad only, to pick out the skills it asks for (not your CV). Tailored CV and cover letter: your full CV text and the job ad, plus the company and the role. Line rewrites: your CV lines, the line you picked, the job title, the skills the CV is missing and skills picked out of the job ad. Interview practice: the job ad, your CV lines, each answer you type, the skills your CV lacks and facts taken from your CV. LinkedIn profile review: your CV lines, the profile text you paste, the job title and skills picked out of the job ad. Your sign-in email and account id are not sent, but a CV usually holds its own contact details, and they go with the CV text. When the AI is off, nothing goes to an AI company.
Abuse limits
To stop abuse we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address (IP address), and of your email address when you ask for a sign-in code, for up to 2 days. We do not keep the network address itself in these records. These short-lived abuse counters (rate limits) are kept at most a day and are not part of "Download my data".
In your browser
Your CV and the job ad are also kept in your own browser, so you do not have to upload them again. That copy stays on your device. Clear it any time with the "Clear my saved CV" button on the score page.
Ad measurement (Meta Pixel)
To measure our ads we can load the Meta Pixel, a script from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It loads only if you press Accept on the cookie banner; if you decline or ignore the banner, it does not load. Once loaded, it tells Meta that you opened our page. Like any Meta Pixel, it also gives Meta your IP address and browser details, and sets a Meta cookie. We do not send your CV, job ad or email to it. To change your choice, use "Cookie settings" in the footer.
The waitlist
The waitlist is closed. If you joined it earlier we still keep your email address, the page language and the time you joined, to email you once when the application tracker opens. They are stored in a database run by our provider. We do not sell your email.
Where your data is kept
Your account, CVs, job ads, scores and documents are stored by Supabase (database and file store) in Mumbai, India. The site's server runs on Vercel, also in Mumbai. AI work is done by Anthropic in the US. So your data leaves your country to be stored and processed.
AI training
We do not use your CV, job ads or answers to train AI. Anthropic's terms say that, by default, it does not train its models on what businesses send through its API.
Error alerts (Sentry)
When error alerts are switched on, our server sends Sentry, a US company, the name and message of an error and the first lines of code where it happened, so we can fix it. We do not send your CV, job ad, answers or the request with it.
Who we share it with
Only the companies named on this page, and only to run the service. We do not sell your data. We hand it to the authorities only when the law makes us.
How long we keep it
Your account and everything in it stay until you delete the account, or ask us to. Abuse counters are kept as described above. Payment and AI cost records stay without a link to you, as described under "Delete your account".
Your rights
You can see and download what we hold ("Download my data" on the Account page), correct it (edit your CV or delete and add it again), delete it (below), and change your ad cookie choice ("Cookie settings" in the footer). If you think we have handled your data wrongly, write to us first; you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Age
The service is not meant for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.
Changes to this page
When we change how we handle data, we update this page and its date. Last updated 26 October 2026.
Delete your account
Open the Account page and delete your account yourself. It deletes your CVs, job ads, scores, tailored CVs and letters, and your pass, right away. Your email is taken off the waitlist too. Payment records and AI cost records stay, with no link to your account, for tax and cost records. On the device you delete from, the copies kept in your browser are cleared too.
No account, or the page does not work?
Email us and we delete your address, or your account with its CVs, job ads and scores.
